Exploring What the 'Serving' in Minority-Serving Means

UNLV doctoral student explores the historical context, charge, and challenge for Nevada institutions at the Southern Nevada Diversity Summit Oct. 2.

UNLV was designated a Minority-Serving Institution in 2012 by the U.S. Department of Education. In 2015, it achieved designations as an Asian-American and Native-American, Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) and a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI).
